Bilingual HR Assistant (Spanish/English)

Location: Brookhaven, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

Work Setting: Full-Time, Onsite

Salary: $50,000-$55,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Bilingual HR Assistant to support daily human resources operations in a fast-paced office environment. This role is ideal for an individual with at least one year of HR experience who is fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoys supporting employees, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with a variety of HR functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
• Support benefits administration and employee enrollment processes
• Assist with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
• Track attendance, PTO, and other employee-related information
• Help prepare HR reports, correspondence, and employee communications
• Support performance review and employee engagement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
• Provide Spanish-English translation assistance for employees as needed

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of human resources experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HRIS systems
• Knowledge of onboarding, benefits, employee relations, or recruiting support
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
