Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group is seeking an Interim or Interim-to-Permanent Commercial Counsel for the next 3-4 months+, with potential for conversion

Overview : We are seeking an Interim or Interim-to-Permanent Commercial Counsel to support a growing manufacturing company in Illinois with all commercial matters and general business counseling

\n

\n

Company: Global manufacturer of storage, handling, and workplace safety products

\n

\n

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on commercial experience supporting in-house legal teams, including CLM tools and familiarity with matters outside of commercial, including a combination of Employment, IP, Regulatory, HR, and Trade

\n

\n

Location: Remote in Chicagoland

\n

\n

Responsibilities Include:

\n

Working at the direction and discretion of the Client’s General Counsel, the Interim Commercial Counsel shall support and manage all matters related to the legal team, employment, regulatory, and, to a lesser degree, trade compliance functions. Further responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Act as the point of contact for all commercial matters, including contract management, negotiations, redlining, drafting, and reviewing myriad commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, Procurement, Vendor, and the like)
\n
• Counsel the business on all commercial matters, in addition to wide-ranging business needs, including Employment, IP Management, HR, Regulatory, and Trade
\n
• Desire to take on ad hoc legal requests from both internal and external parties in a generalist capacity
\n
• Leverage technology tools to create efficiencies within the role
\n

\n

Qualifications Include:

\n

\n
• JD and an active and in good standing license to practice law in the United States
\n
• 5+ years of experience supporting an in-house legal team
\n
• 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating myriad commercial agreements
\n
• 3+ years of experience and understanding of CLM matters and tools
\n
• Familiarity and experience with general business legal matter counseling, including any combination of Employment, IP, HR, Regulatory, and Trade Compliance
\n

Pay rate: $85

\n

\n

Individual compensation offered for this position within the pay range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
