Job Description

Bio-Techne seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead productivity improvements across its Minneapolis reagent operations facility. The role focuses on applying Lean Manufacturing and data-driven problem-solving to optimize processes spanning cell culture, purification, filling, and packaging while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Observe manufacturing operations and partner with frontline employees to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
• Conduct time studies, workload analysis, and process mapping to understand current performance gaps
• Lead and implement high-impact improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Facilitate Kaizens and productivity projects from problem definition through sustainment and measurement
• Coach frontline teams on standard work, visual controls, and continuous improvement principles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or related field
• 5+ years driving manufacturing productivity improvement and process optimization
• Demonstrated success implementing measurable improvements in throughput, efficiency, and cost
• Hands-on experience with time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and process mapping
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with operators and operations leadership
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred; biotechnology or regulated manufacturing experience preferred

Compensation: $100,800–$165,600 base
